FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: initially trypticene is affected by formulation by $$$-dichlorodimethyl ether, the process is carried out in nitromethane in the presence of aluminium chloride and hydrogen chloride. Molar ratio of trypticene, aluminium chloride, hydrogen chloride and dichlorodimethyl ether is 1:3-6:0.10-0.089:4-7, respectively. Further formulation is carried out while molar ratio of these reagents is 1:7-11:0.27-0.089:8-12, respectively. The process is followed by chromatographic separation of desired product. Summary yield is 37-57 %. EFFECT: simple and convenient method for production of novel tris-formyltrpticene. 1 tbl
