FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: dispersion-hardening alloy, containing 5-12% Si, 3-8% Al, 0.001-0.8% of at least one element from yttrium and lanthanide groups, 0.4-12% Ti, 0.1-3% C, and iron to 100%, is annealed at 1000-1100 C for 2 to 6 h and then, instead of being subjected to delayed cooling, is quenched in water and aged at 500-600 C for 1 to 5 h. Such treatment results in increased microhardness of alloy by 13% and essentially improved magnetic properties: initial magnetic permittivity increased by a factor of 3.6, saturation induction increased by 35%, coercive force reduced by 1.7 times as compared to that obtained after conventional treatment. EFFECT: improved hardness and magnetic characteristics, and shortened treatment process (3-10 h). 1 dwg, 1 tbl
