FIELD: manufacture of photostable and heat resistant pigments. SUBSTANCE: 4-aminobenzamide is prepared by electrochemically reducing 4-nitrobenzamide in the presence of heptaethylene glycol ester of 2-naphtholsulfonic acid at current density of 510A/sq dm at 50-60 C and subsequently recovering the desired product by desalting. Method makes it possible to attain 89-92% of product and 60-66.4 % of current density. EFFECT: more efficient preparation method.
