METHOD OF PURIFICATION OF 2-(3,4-DIHYDROXYPHENYL)-ETHYLAMINE HYDROCHLORIDE Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the improved method of purification of 2-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-ethylamine hydrochloride (DOPAMINE) by its dissolving, cleansing filtration, isolation of end product from filtrate in cooling, precipitate washing out with acetone to pH 3.5-4.5. For dissolving air oxygen-free water is used at 30-40 C and isolation of end product is carried out by addition of concentrated hydrochloric acid taken in volume ratio of water for dissolving 1:1 to filtrate cooled to 10-15 C and process is carried out in constant flow of inert gas followed by cooling to 0-10 C. Method allows to obtain DOPAMINE substance corresponding the pharmacopoeia purity (melting point is 247-248 C as compared with 239-242 C in prototype) that is useful for preparing medicinal solution for injections. Method ensures to exclude the complex filtration stage of boiling solution of diluted hydrochloric acid. EFFECT: improved method of treatment and purification. 3 ex
