FIELD: adhesives. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hot melt adhesives based on low-viscosity polybutyl metacrylate and may be applied in footwear, sewing, polygraph industries for joining natural, artificial, and synthetic leathers, textile materials, paper, and paper board. Invention aims at increasing elasticity and decreasing rigidity thereby enabling adhesive to be shaped as film, braid, or stick, while simultaneously reducing its adhesion for metal which is indispensable for adhesive when used e.g. in operations involving equipment with metallic driven elements. Aim is achieved when using composition containing, weight parts: low-viscosity polybutyl metacrylate, 100; aromatic petroleum-polymer resin with softening temperature not below than 85 C, 5-15; stearin or oxidized polyethylene wax, 5-15; and tricresyl phosphate or trichloroethyl phosphate, 5-15.
