FIELD: rolled stock production, namely stands of mills for hot and cold rolling wide strips and sheet materials. SUBSTANCE: rolling stand includes housings, rolling and backup rolls with chocks and hydraulic units mounted in struts of housings in their windows. Vertical hydraulic cylinders having pistons with rods are arranged inside said windows. Pistons with rods engage with wings of chocks of rolling rolls. Between vertical hydraulic cylinders in hydraulic units horizontal hydraulic cylinders are mounted in parallel relative to rolling axis. Vertical segment-shaped stops are secured to rods of horizontal hydraulic cylinders. Said stops are joined along cylindrical contact surfaces with possibility of relative rotation in horizontal plane with cleats secured to them and engaging by their outer surfaces with chocks of rolling rolls. Segment shaped stops and cleats are arranged in rectangular cross section seats provided on vertical surfaces of hydraulic units. EFFECT: improved useful life period of rolls, enhanced accuracy of rolling process, enhanced quality of strips rolled between crossing rolls. 8 dwg
