METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF DERIVATIVES OF TAXANE Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: derivatives of taxane having formula (I) are prepared by esterification of derivative of baccatine having formula (II) or 10-desacetyl-baccatine having formula (III) . The process takes place at temperature from (-10) C to 60 C with the help of acid having common formula (III), it is followed by substitution of protective groups G₁, G₂ and R₅ by hydrogen atoms in thus obtained product. In mentioned above formulae (I), (II) and (III) Ar is phenyl radical; R is hydrogen or acetyl; R₁ is benzoyl or tert-butoxy carbonyl; G₁ is protective group for hydroxyl function; G₂ is acetyl radical or protective group for hydroxyl function; R₂ is protective group for hydroxyl function.
