Number of segments on disk driven by camshaft is equal to number of engine cylinders, and position of base notch on disk driven by crankshaft is chosen so as to provide appearance of signal taken from this notch within one phase of signal from camshaft disk, and during second turn of crankshaft, within other phase of above-indicated signal.
