FIELD: mechanical engineering; brazing of thin walled weldments consisting of outer and inner shells with space in between. SUBSTANCE: prior to fitting up weldments, surface of parts to be brazed are subjected to mechanical machining and degreesing. Then solder is applied to outer shell and, after assembling the structure with forming of space, brazing is carried out, over end faces. Welded structure is subjected to tightness test. In case of leakage, structure is repaired. Plate made of solder material is placed and tacked up around zone of defect. Then this plate is covered with plate made of outer shell material, with overlapping the first plate. Second plate is covered by third plate made of outer shell material, with overlapping of second plate in size and is tacked up. Brazing is carried out at vacuum at temperature of 1000-1100 C. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities.
