FIELD: mechanical engineering; brazing of stainless steel with manganese-containing solder. SUBSTANCE: coaxial weldments are subjected to brazing. After mechanical treatment and degreasing of surfaces solder containing 17% of manganese is placed between them. Vacuum in space between brazed surfaces should be set to 5•10-2 Hg. Sturctures are heated with isothermic holding at temperature of 820-830 C which is 40-50 C lower than temperature of commencement of solder melting and are kept at this temperature for 30-35 min. Brazing is carried out in vacuum- compression furnace at temperature of 1000-1100 C for 5 min. In process of isothermic holding, manganese evaporated from hard solder settles on surface to be brazed in form of coating. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities.
