FIELD: mechanical engineering; diffusion brazing of molybdenum and steel parts. SUBSTANCE: grooves are made on molybdenum part to be welded and are filled with material close in chemical composition to material of mated parts. Layer of nickel, thickness 1-3 μ and then layer of copper, thickness 10-15 μm,, are applied to steel part to be brazed. Layer of nickel thickness 4-5 μm and then layer of copper, thickness 50 μm minimum, but preferably, 60-70 μm. are applied to molybdenum part. Molybdenum part is subjected to thermal treatment at temperature of 760-800 C for 15-20 min in shielding atmosphere. After thermal treatment, copper layer is cut off mechanically to thickness of 30-35 μm.. Brazing is carried out at temperature of 920 ± 5 °C for 5 min in vacuum. EFFECT: improved tightness of brazed joint.
