Simultaneously modulated welding current is passed through section to be welded. To provide minimum heat injection at high heating speed, cooling medium, for instance, water, is delivered to surfacing zone. Condition to be met at selecting surface welding rate is prevention of exposure of surfaced metal to temperatures over line G-S-K on ferrum-carbon diagram. EFFECT: possibility of manufacture of cast iron and high strength steel parts without cracks. 2 dwg
