FIELD: recording instruments intended for application of suspension sample on wettable surface; applicable in medicine, powder metallurgy, in production of ferrites, etc. SUBSTANCE: recording unit has a cylindrical holder, feeder and a metal stylus. The stylus cylindrical base is fastened in the holder and has a chamfered edge. The projecting part of the stylus has a slit located in the axis of stylus symmetry. One end of the slit is made in the form of a flat groove and connected to a round through hole made in the stylus width, and the other end reaches the recording end-piece, which is made in the form of two chamfered and convex-dished parts. The feeder is made in the form of a capillary tube of the preset capacity, its outside diameter is slightly larger than the diameter of the stylus through hole. The end-piece components are away from each other by the width of the flat groove, their recording edges are tapered down. The outer surfaces of the end-piece components are coated with a molecular layer of hydrophobic polymer. The invention provides for formation of a monolayer of suspension in the form of a permanent-width strip comparable with the size of microparticles at a minimum loss of microparticles, prevents their deformation and destruction.
