FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is meant for production of adsorbents for medium-molecular substances. A method is proposed for producing high-strength carbonaceous adsorbent with low ash content, which does not release coal dust when an enterosorbent is taken by a patient for removal of a toxic metabolite - cyancobalamin. The method involves carbonisation of fruit stones or nutshells at temperature ranging from 20 to 750°C while slowly increasing temperature at 10 to 20 degrees/minute with ageing at final temperature for 25 to 40 minutes, crushing the carbonisate, treatment with a 15 to 20% solution of hydrochloric or nitric acid with ratio carbon:acid solution equal to 1:20 to 25 with subsequent washing with distilled water in ratio carbon:distilled water equal to 1:25 to 30, vapour-gas activation at temperature ranging from 850 to 900°C.
EFFECT: invention allows for obtaining high-strength low ash content adsorbent with large volume of supermicropores with diametre ranging from 0,8 to 1,2 mm.
