FIELD: used in manufacture of aircraft, engines, machine tools and other mechanisms and machines operating under extremely complicated conditions. SUBSTANCE: method includes activation of the surface, application at least of one hardening coating by laser beam. Coating is treated by focused laser beam with diameter from 0.2 mm to one half of beam diameter included into focusing member and power of laser beam at least 0.5 kW with speed of mutual motion of treated surface and laser beam at least of 500 mm/min and distance from focal plane of focusing member to worked surface is less than or equal to one half of focal distance. In doing so, treatment of hardening coating may last to its full fusion by thickness or to partial fusion by thickness. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 19 cl, 8 dwg
