FIELD: rolling; may be used in mechanical engineering and in other branches of technology. SUBSTANCE: each support of roll is made in the form of a pair of driven rollers cylindrical in shape and made of conducting material. Element of rollers has annular recess accommodating a conducting busbar of cathode system to embrace the roll over its generating line between rollers. One end of busbar is connected with DC source, and its other end is connected with tensioning member provided in the device. Bath has mechanism for its reciprocation in the plane perpendicular to rollers axes. Roller drive rotation speed is smoothly regulated. EFFECT: improved current lead to shaft, higher reliability of current lead device, reduced time losses for installation of roll for treatment and its removal, regulated speed of roll rotation, prevented axial displacement of roller during treatment, simplified operations of roll installation and removal. 2 cl, 2 dwg
