FIELD: analytical methods. SUBSTANCE: 5-fluorouracil - chemical-therapeutic means administered for treating oncologic diseases, is electrochemically oxidized on glass-carbon or pyrolytic-graphite electrode against 0.2 M NaOH in 5-10% propylene carbonate or 0.05 M monosodium phthalate in 10-40% ethanol, registration of anode peaks being performed in partial differentiation mode at potential scan rate 10-20 mV/s. 5-Fluorouracil concentration is found from height of anode peak in the potential range 0.82 to 1.07 V relative to saturated calomel electrode.
