FIELD: analytical methods.
SUBSTANCE: azitromycin dihydrate, antibiotic of macrolide group, is transferred from its sample into solution, antibiotic being accumulated in solution of stirring during 30-60 sec at electrolysis potential 0.10-0.25 v relative to saturated silver chloride electrode against 0.2 n. sodium hydrophosphate or Britton-Robinseon buffer solution, pH 8.0-9.0, in presence of 0.1% ethanol, whereupon voltammetric procedure is carried out and differential anodic peaks are registered at potential scanning velocity 20-30 mv/s. Concentration of azitromycin is determined from the height of peak within potential range 0.70-0.85 v by certified mixture addition technique. Method is characterized by threshold 1.86·10-10 mole/L.
EFFECT: increased determination sensitivity.
