FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has casing 1 having outlet canal 2 and connective bushing 3 engageable through internal clamping grooves 4 with locking roller members 6 having circular working recesses 5. Locking roller members 6 are movably mounted in guiding grooves 7 of insert 9 spring-loaded with spring 8. Insert 9 has montage channel 10 communicating to guiding grooves 7. The holder also has hollow tie-rod 11 with movable handle as key 12 and movable driving arresting device 13 mounted on tie-rod 11 for checking movements of insert 9. Movable driving arresting device 13 is fixedly and movably attached to casing 1 by means of, for instance, thread. Tie-rod 11 has cavity 14 as additional portion of installation channel 10 and is connected by means of, for instance, thread to insert 9. Movable driving arresting device 13 is mounted to enable its engagement with movable handle as key 12 through response surface 15. Width of each circular working recess 5 is determined depending on cross-section diameter of, for instance medical wire, from a formula , where B is the width of each circular working recess 5, D is the medical wire or instrument stem cross-section diameter, α is the angle of 20-130 deg formed by medical wire or instrument stem cross-section radii drawn from points of roller locking member 6 contacting external surface of the medical wire or instrument stem and C is the operation allowance. Circular working recesses 5 having width depending on medical wire or instrument stem cross-section improves holder operation characteristics providing greater friction force under given fixation force excluding wire arrest in bone.
