FIELD: nuclear reactors for power generation. SUBSTANCE: power plant is built up of three abutting units one functioning as neutron generator depending for its operation on nuclear fusion reaction with target bombarded by fast neutrons where target contains heavy hydrogen isotopes. Shutting against it is unit that functions to boost current of fast neutrons to commercial values. Final element is power generating unit. Second and third units are, essentially, chains of multilayer structures with layers of thermal neutron absorbers and fast neutron moderators arranged in definite order as well as layers of materials fissionable under effect of thermal neutrons.
