FIELD: medicine for treatment of burns-affected patients; may be used as a filler in production of building materials, plastics, paints. SUBSTANCE: 0.5-5-% aqueous solution of hydrophobizing agent is prepared, followed by using this agent to wet fused glass powder to produce suspension, power-to-liquid ratio is 1:(0.3-1.0). After stirring suspension for 5-30 min, solution is poured out, sediment is dewatered and resulting powder is dried in flow of gaseous heat carrier at 40-90 C, followed by calcinating powder at 140-150 C for 2 h. Hydrophobic powder has bulk density about 1.5 g/cu.cm, angle of repose about 30 deg, time of completely wetting powder sample longer than 4 h. When powder comes to contact with moisture, pH of surrounding medium rises up to 10-12. Powder has good capacity to fluidization. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 4 cl, 2 tbl
