METHOD OF VODKA PRODUCTION Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: liqueur and vodka industry. SUBSTANCE: water is passed through a filter with activated carbon and sulfocarbon filter. Prepared water is mixed with rectified alcohol "Lux" at concentration 40% for blend. After alcohol concentration correction a mixture is treated with activated carbon in carbon-purifying battery, fed to a tank where mineral water "Kurgazak" is added at amount 0.5% of ready product volume, not above. Vodka is kept for 20-30 min and fed to pouring. Addition of mineral water promotes to formation of compounds neutralizing effect of organic impurities (aldehydes, fusel oil, acids and ethers). EFFECT: improved method of preparing, improved quality, decreased cost, prolonged storage, prevention of oxidation, broadened assortment.
