FIELD: production of nonferrous metals. SUBSTANCE: method for mounting and starting magnesium electrolyzers combined into a production flow line and interconnected by channels includes mounting of lining, its drying, filling of electrolyzers with electrolyte and organization of electrolyte transit flow. Introduced into the method are the following changes: in mounting of channels located between electrolyzers, compensating belt (gap) is provided in channel lining which is filled with material preserving plasticity up to temperature of 300-600 C; supply of melt to channel is organized upon completion of thermal expansion of lining. Melt is included into flow of electrolyzer. EFFECT: reduced labor input and time taken for lining operations, concurrent mounting of channels and electrolyzer itself, excluded disturbances of electrolyzer tightness during their starting. 6 cl
