FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to in-line production of magnesium and chlorine. Head refining electrolyzer has chamber for receiving melt and precipitating suspended solids, chamber being directly connected through canal to the production line head apparatus. Receiving chamber is separated from the cells by separating wall with overflow canals, whereas integrated and electrolytic cells are separated by partitions immersed into melt. Lower edges of partitions form clearance with upper edge of cathodes to discharge melt and magnesium from the cells. EFFECT: increased chloride melt purification degree and reduced expenses on magnesium and chlorine production. 1 dwg
