FIELD: heat power engineering. SUBSTANCE: carbonaceous material is loaded into heat exchanger and gas, for instance, inert gas or carbon dioxide, is injected under high pressure. Increase of pressure facilitates enrichment process. Carbonaceous material is heated then to required temperature by circulation of heat transfer agent through outer body. Water and by-products, for example tar and other gases, are extracted in the course of process. Heated water can be used as source for heating up of feeding material in another vessel. EFFECT: improved characteristics of carbonaceous materials. 44 cl, 6 dwg, 1 tbl
