FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines; ignition systems. SUBSTANCE: to increase speed of current switching in primary circuit of step up transformer 1 to value exceeding the limits of contact or electronic switch, device is furnished with choke 4 with saturating magnetic circuit (magnetic switch), switching capacitor 7 and switching inductor 8 placed in charging circuit of capacitor 7. Primary winding 2 of step-up transformer is connected to switching capacitor through operating winding 9 of magnetic switch which has magnetizing winding 10 providing saturation of switch magnetic circuit with magnetic flux whose direction is opposite to direction of flux created by operating winding. Voltage supply device can be made according to push-pull circuit. Version is provided for stabilizing amount of energy evolved in spark plug. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 15 cl, 17 dwg
