FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: during next tapping of melt from converter, all slag of previous heat is left in converter. Carbon-containing material in fraction of 10-50 mm is added in the amount of 5-15 kg per ton of tapped heat, and melt is subjected to top blowing with oxygen at flow rate of 2-10 cu. m/t.min for 1-3 min. Pig iron is poured in the amount of 25-50 wt.-% of tapped heat and blown from atop with oxygen at flow rate of 4-8 cu. m/t.min for 5-10 min. The first portion of solid iron charge is added in the amount of 25-30 wt.-% of tapped heat and oxygen is blown from atop with flow rate of 2-6 cu.m/t.min for 5-20 min with concurrent addition of carbon-containing materials in the amount of 20-40 kg per ton of tapped heat. The second portion of solid iron charge is added in the amount of 20-50 wt.-% of tapped heat, and melt is blown from atop with oxygen flow rate of 2-6 cu. m/t. min for 6-30 min with simultaneous addition of carbon-containing materials in the amount of 25-125 kg per ton of tapped heat and 50-70% of slag is flushed. Up to the end of heat, melt is blown from atop with oxygen flow rate of 2-6 cu.m/t.min. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 tbl
