FIELD: oceanology. SUBSTANCE: problem to be solved consists in conversion of image textural features to "roughness" of spatial disturbance sufficient for decoding of anomalous sections. Method includes operations designed for obtaining the image from cosmic carrier board, reset and recording of image on ground facilities, decomposition of frame into mosaic of fractional sections, conversion of brightness function of image I (x, y) of sections to standard matrix (m x n) of elements, calculation of envelope of spatial spectrum and autococorrelation function B (R) of matrix electric signal, calculation of integral feature of every section "roughness" (R/B) and comparing it with "roughness" of background section ($$$), and synthesizing of anomaly mosaic picture from successively analyzed sections. Method efficiency characterized by speed of target indication delivery when transmitting the information to control center satellite-retranslator makes up units of minutes.
