FIELD: environment control technology. SUBSTANCE: this is intended for localization of oil slicks on surface of water basins and rivers and for collection of spilt oil. Boom guarding has impermeable cylindrical shell made of flexible material and arranged around this impermeable shell is permeable shell which is made up of two coaxial cylinders. Permeable shell is filled with sorbent possessing hydrophobic and oilphile properties. Impermeable shell is provided with disk-shaped partitions having strip-like protrusions. Holes are made in strip-like protrusions located beyond cylindrical shell. Reeved through these holes is anchoring rope. Impermeable shell is also provided with pipe unions having removable non-return valves and devices which fix these non-return valves. Made in permeable shell are holes which are coaxial with pipe unions. Aforesaid embodiment of boom guarding is of compact design combined with upgraded operating efficiency.
