FIELD: environmental control; applicable in elimination of spillages of oil and oil products on surface of water reservoirs and rivers with gathering of spilled material. SUBSTANCE: device has carrying frame, drums rotating in opposite directions with oil absorbing shells, pipeline for withdrawal of gathered oil and floats. Rotating drums have corrugated shell. Oil absorbing covers are attached to ends and to middle of shell by wire couplers over corrugation hollows. Rotating drums are displaced relative to each other through half of corrugation pitch. EFFECT: higher operating reliability of device due to excluded displacement of oil absorbing shells on drum surface and changing over of device cyclic operation to continuous ones. 2 dwg, 2 ex
