FIELD: radio communication. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to means of selection of communication channel in system of cellular radio communication. It solves problem of determination by operator of configuration of parameters used by system in arrangement and assignment of communication channels for optimization of services rendered to subscriber and for creation of possibility of priority processing of calls as function of classes of rented services. Each request for lock of channels is assigned to type of call on basis of capabilities of mobile station, nature of call and characteristics of subscriber. First sequence of operations is used to select group of communication channels for calling and second sequence of operations is employed to select accessible communication channel from selected group of channels. Communication channels available in cell of system are grouped in groups selected in advance. Each group of communication channels is related at least to one of established types of call.
