FIELD: technology of manufacture of articles from ceramic powders with use of energy of propellent explosives. SUBSTANCE: process of manufacture of articles from ceramic powder consists in positioning of sectional container composed of internal shell made from metal foil, for instance, from copper, layers of powder to be pressed separated by metal spacers made, for example, from copper foil, upper and lower metal discs made, for instance, from steel, external shell and cover of container produced from lead in symmetry to longitudinal axis of mould at equal distances between upper and lower punches fabricated from high-ductility metal, for example, lead, in filling of mould with powder difficult to press, for instance, sand. Outer diameter of container amounts to 0.7-0.8 inner diameter of mould, outer diameter of mould amounts to 1.5-1.8 inner diameter of it. Specific mass of powder difficult to press between container and upper punch amounts to 0.1-0.2 specific mass of striker. Process is conducted at speed of striker between 450 and 650 m/s with ratio of specific mass of striker to sum of specific masses of upper punch, layers of powder difficult to press between container and punches, cover of container, metal discs, layers of powder to be pressed and bottom of external shell of container equal to 0.27- 0.53 as well as with ratio of specific mass of striker to sum of specific masses of lower punch and steel base equal to 0.1-0.18. Technical result of invention lies in creation of new technological cycle providing for immediate manufacture of several high-quality articles from ceramic powder during one act of pressing. Articles manufactured by this technology display high density close to density of baked articles produced in agreement with standard technology. Articles have no lateral cracks and breakdowns. Invention provides for high productivity of pressing process and stable density of pressed articles, they are not fouled by products of combustion of powder gases and by other foreign inclusions. Process does not require any pressing equipment to remove articles from moulds. EFFECT: manufacture of high-quality articles, increased productivity of pressing, stable density of manufactured articles, articles are not fouled by combustion products and foreign inclusions. 2 dwg
