FIELD: machine tool industry; milling, grinding and other machines used for machining variable-section ring grooves. SUBSTANCE: grinding wheel drive has face plate with fitted on grinding wheel installed for oscillation on drive shaft neck. Face plate interacts with its oscillation mechanism to change angle of tiling of grinding wheel to plane of rotation. Mechanism has plungers installed for axial reciprocating in fixed disk and provided with rollers engaging with one end face of face plate and balls rolling over surface of profiled cam. The latter is mounted on end of drive pulley which receives rotation from machined blank through toothed belt drive. Disk and drive pulley are mounted on fixed shaft fitted on post coaxially with drive shaft of face plate engaging with inners spherical surface of drive shaft washer. Toothed belt drive of end face cam has easily detachable pulley installed on machined blank with number of teeth and outer diameter twice less than those of drive pulley. EFFECT: provision of high quality burn-free machining of variable-section ring grooves to preset law. 2 cl, 5 dwg
