FIELD: mechanical engineering; external carburetion engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed method comes to preliminary heating of fuel with its subsequent evaporation, delivery of fuel vapors into mixer, mixing of fuel vapors with air and delivery of fuel-air mixture, thus formed, into internal combustion engine. In process of fuel evaporation, gauge pressure of fuel vapors is formed, and flow of fuel vapors under gauge pressure is used in volumetric expansion rotor engine to drive volumetric displacement rotary air charger. Flows of air and fuel vapors after air charger and rotary engine are directed into mixer. Control of amount of fuel and air at preservation of constant excess air coefficient, depending on engine operating conditions, is provided by forming or changing value of brake moment acting onto element mechanically coupling rotary engine and air charger. Device implementing said method is presented in description of invention. Invention improved efficiency of preparation of fuel- air mixture and operation of internal combustion engine owing to simultaneous control of amount of fuel vapors and air at preservation of constant excess air coefficient.
