SUBSTANCE: invention relates to forest industry, in particular, at initial rafting on rivers with small and medium depths of round timber to consumers from hard-to-reach redundant regions of the country. Proposed flat ridge unit is made in the form of levelled round timber, tightened by two straps in the form of flexible threads, on free ends of which cargo hinges are rigidly fixed. Straps are furnished with rectangular steel cases with three through holes to accommodate plastic clamps-braces equipped with locking devices and covering each timber individually.

EFFECT: invention simplifies the process of forming a flat raft unit, as well as improves its transport characteristics at initial alloy along rivers with low depths.
