FIELD: timber industry; timber rafting. SUBSTANCE: flat bundle unit has rows of round timber arranged in tiers square to each other and placed, except for upper row, into square frames made of wood connected by flexible ties and furnished with lower and upper binders and braces. Frame forming wood materials are of equal length and are installed with 0.5d shift at corners where d is diameter of wood materials. They are made with horizontally arranged holes located at a distance of 0.54 from one end and d from other end. Working length of flexible ties is They are made in form of chain length with limiting plate on one end rodlock with head and hole for cotter pin on other end. Braces consists of two parts arranged from outer sides of outer binders, they rigidly connected with lower binders and are provided with loops on ends. Loops of braces are interconnected by release lock. EFFECT: reduced labor input and materials usage when making bundle unit. 3 dwg
