FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying laser spectroscopy with near infrared radiation and diffuse reflection by exposing blood vessels to electromagnetic radiation. Semiconductor diode laser electromagnetic radiation of 1.3-1.9 mcm wavelength is applied. When irradiating skin, the electromagnetic radiation interacts with heterogeneous blood components. Then diffuse light reflection by blood takes place. The reflected light is detected by detector unit after its being integrated with integrating sphere. The reflected light is supplied to monochip microcomputer as digital signal by means of analog-to-digital converter. The monochip microcomputer calculates blood glucose concentration using calibration curve. The monochip microcomputer provides screen blood glucose concentration output. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of measurements. 5 cl, 1 dwg
