FIELD: medicine; applicable in treatment of tumors, including malignant ones. SUBSTANCE: method includes primary treatment of tumor by optical radiation with dose of 50-100 J/sq.cm with radiation power density of 0.1-10 W/sq.cm on one field. When sizes of tumor reduce, treatment with optical radiation in the same dose is continued up to maximum possible size reduction of tumor. When no reduction of sizes of tumors during primary treatment of tumor with optical radiation is detected, radiation dose is increased gradually up to detection of size reduction of tumor. Then tumor treatment is repeated with adopted dose. In so doing, no photosensitinogens are needed and prevented injury of healthy tissues and provoking of tumor growth.
