FIELD: production of composite materials by impregnation of porous frame with metal melt, in particular, impregnation of graphite with titanium alloys. SUBSTANCE: method includes impregnation of porous blank with melt by bringing into contact of porous blank and material for impregnation; subsequent heating of them to temperature of impregnation and holding at this temperature of up to full impregnation of blank. The method is distinguished by the fact that material for impregnation is used in the form of alloys possessing microcrystalline structure before impregnation and produced by rapid hardening of melt at the rate of 102-107 C/s or alloys in amorphous state and after impregnation during cooling, they are crystallized. EFFECT: possibility of impregnation of porous blanks of large sizes due to increased depth of melt penetration and increased mechanical strength of produced materials. 2 dwg, 1 tbl
