SUBSTANCE: protective device has external insulating enclosure, at least one safety valve, insulating cylinder provided with longitudinal partition made of insulating material which divides its inner space into two parts; first part accommodates nonlinear resistor in the form of at least one column placed in loose heat-conducting insulating material; second part has gas escape channel. Insulating cylinder wall in vicinity of resistor opposite to each column has at least one row of through holes arranged along entire height of column. Total cross- sectional area of through holes is larger than that of gas escape channel. EFFECT: improved reliability and explosion safety of device. 2 cl, 3 dwg
