FIELD: diagnostics of machines. SUBSTANCE: gear has transmitter of vibration signal coupled to measurement unit. Measurement unit includes scale amplifier, preparation converter, band-pass filter, envelope detector. Gear is fitted with unit of measurement conversion and indicator recording measurement results on diagram, timer and two- level differential amplitude selector of pulses coupled to envelope detector, master unit and pulse counter. The latter is connected with input controlling start and finish of counting with master unit and with output to unit of measurement conversion. Unit of measurement conversion is connected to indicator and master unit. Gear provides for plotting on indicator diagram of graph of function of distribution of probabilities of pulse recurrence rate of impacts by their amplitudes. EFFECT: possibility of early identification of types of emerging defects and of observation over their advance during running of machine. 1 cl, 9 dwg
