FIELD: radiolocation, traffic control systems. SUBSTANCE: vehicle moving in traffic is proposed to be irradiated in direction perpendicular to that of movement and Doppler effect for extended object is to be used. Irradiation of side surface of vehicle by radar with narrow-band antenna ensures irradiation of its part by train of pulses, formation of squares of envelope reflected pulses and evaluation of speed of individual vehicle moving in traffic knowing size of antenna aperture by width of spectrum of time realization of squares of envelope reflected pulses obtained during time of passage by vehicle of main lobe of antenna. EFFECT: improved authenticity of measurement of speed of individual vehicle in traffic. 1 dwg
