FIELD: chemical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment including structures made of refractory materials, especially equipment operated under conditions involving indirect chimneys-assisted heating. Repair works are accomplished using at least one prefabricated element made of mullite-crystallization refractory material with 30-85% (preferably 50-80%) aluminum content, which is reliably secured on equipment by means of carrying oxygen-containing gas stream used to spray mixture of particles which can react exothermically with oxygen and refractory material particles to form binding refractory mass on specified place thereby attaching above-mentioned element to structure of equipment.
