FIELD: medicine, in particular, gynecology. SUBSTANCE: method includes hemostasis of pregnant women in the first trimester of pregnancy. Proceeding from information data of hemostatiograms (thrombine time, fibrinogen), discriminant functions D1 and D2 are determined by special formulas. When D1 <0 and D2 <-0.3, development of postpartum hemorrhage is prognosticated; with D1 > 0 and D2 <-0.3 development of prepathologic hemorrhage is prognosticated, and when D1 <0 and D2 > -0.3, pathologic hemorrhage is prognosticated. EFFECT: accurate and timely prognostication.
