Tunable damping device includes damping weight, elastomeric supports and means for locking weight in order to determine parameters of tuning. Tuning unit has pickups and microprocessor suitable for identifying the most dynamically optimal oscillation mode. Due to signal procession and use of algorithm controlled by microprocessor tuning unit also may to guide operator at performing necessary tuning procedures.
