FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: invention describes process for preparing 7-hydroxytaxanes of general formula I: wherein R₁ is H, alkoxyl, alkoxyacetoxy, alkanoyloxy; Z is H or radical of formula III; is benzoyl optionally substituted with 1-2 halogen atoms, alkyl, alkoxyl, R₂ or radical CF₃ in which is alkyl, C_1-8 alkenyl; C_2-8 is R₃ alkyl, phenyl optionally substituted with alkoxyl; C_1-8 and R₄ are oxazolidine ring monosubstituted or hemisubstituted in position 2. The process comprises treating compound of formula II: R₅ wherein R₁ is C_1-4 alkyl optionally substituted with phenyl, triacetic acid in basic type organic solvent.
