FIELD: clinical immunology. SUBSTANCE: invention is developed for early diagnostics of diphtheria in children and immunologic monitoring in the course of treatment. Method consists in that diphtheria toxin is determined within circulating immune complexes. Heat-dissociated samples are applied then on test system with monoclonal antibodies to COOH-terminal region of toxin molecule and, when toxin level is 0.45 Lf/ml or higher, diphtheria is diagnosed.
