FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves taking viable cell monolayers of concentrated leukocytes taken from venous blood or bronchoalveolar lavage fluid from experimental animals treated with preparations and agents under test. The layers are incubated with zymosan granules and tetrasolium nitro blue solution. The number and intensity of zymosan granules coloring with diformasine deposit are evaluated on fixed and carmine-dyed monolayer cells in performing microscopy examination. Anion radicals production index and specific anion radicals production are calculated from the so obtained initial values for given type of cells in monolayers of concentrated leukocytes taken from venous blood or bronchoalveolar lavage fluid and compared to reference values. Promoting oxidation agents cause calculated values to increase and antioxidation agents result in drop of the values relative to the reference values. EFFECT: simplified and accurate evaluation method. 3 cl, 2 tbl
