FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines; improvement of physical and chemical properties of diesel fuel. SUBSTANCE: diesel is heated by steam bubbling or by steam-air mixture to temperature not lower than 15 C and is simultaneously supplied with water by mixing with condensed water vapor, then is additionally heated to temperature not exceeding 25 C and is mixed in tube space of multichannel heat exchanger. Homogenization and separation of drop water in field of centrifugal forces of open type swirl device is carried out with simultaneously dispersing in drawn-in air. Fine filtering is carried out in hydrophobic polymeric filter providing fineness of cleaning from 3 to 20 μm at pressure differential of 0.05-0.35 MPa. After additional heating at temperature within 35 C and 60 C, stabilization is carried out by introduction of additions based on surface active substances in amount of 0.005 - 0.05 mass %. EFFECT: enhanced physical and chemical characteristics of fuel, provision of complete combustion of fuel, reduced toxicity of exhaust gases. 4 cl, 1 dwg
