FIELD: analysis of structure of cloth. SUBSTANCE: contact-free method of analysis of structure of cloth with plotting of fibre profile by two images of one and the same section of cloth obtained by photographing with displacement of camera along horizontal line by some value enables accuracy of analysis. Fibre image is generated with the use of two video cameras that is later reconstructed by computer. Reference points of elements of fibre located at different heights relative to base because of bending are found by different hues. Intermediate points obtained by division of lengths between reference points and base line into n equal parts are used in addition to reference points to plot profile.
